View list of Hertfordshire's squash clubs
Squash in Hertfordshire is thriving, both at a competitive level and those playing just for fun. Over 60 squash clubs play against each other in the winter season from October-March and in the summer from May-September. Arguably the strongest clubs are Broxbourne, Berkhamsted, Bishops Stortford and Cannons St Albans.
As well as squash clubs, many leisure centres in Hertfordshire also have squash courts that can be used by non-members.
Hertfordshire Squash Rackets Association promotes squash in Hertfordshire. It's activities includes: organising leagues, organising the annual county championships in September, arranging county matches and developing players & referees at junior and senior levels.
The main event in the squash calendar is the Senior County Championship held at Cannons St Albans each year at the end of September. The Junior Championships are held a week later at a variety of venues.
A number of teams represent Hertfordshire at county level, including teams for boys, girls, senior men and women, veterans and vintage age groups. The teams play in a National County Competition each year, starting in October. The matches are held in Hertfordshire clubs, usually Cannons St Albans, Broxbourne or Herts Country Club (HCC).
