Richard Farleigh, multi-millionaire investor who appeared on The BBC’s Dragon’s Den programme, will be sharing his rags to riches story with student and business entrepreneurs at the University of Hertfordshires Enterprise Spotlight event on 25 November 2009.
Labelled as ‘backward’ by his teacher, later excelling in mathematics and chess, Australian-born Richard Farleigh has made millions from his personal investment portfolio of British Technology Companies. The Sunday Times Rich List 2006 estimated his net worth at £66 million. He was selected for the third series of BBC’s Dragon’s Den and currently holds an investment portfolio of over 40 companies and recently published a book titled Taming the Lion - 100 secret strategies for investing.
Enterprise Spotlight events are a series of motivational sessions to help empower students, practicing professionals and local businesses to share experiences and collaborations. The event runs from 5.00 pm to 7.00 pm and is free of charge. Local businesses can register by emailing enterprise.spotlight@herts.ac.uk.
