New Development Naming in Welwyn...
(14th February 2011)
Netherdown (Herts) Ltd are holding an official open day for our latest development of seven new homes: ‘Trevena Gardens’ in School Lane, Welwyn on Friday 18 February 2011, which will be attended by the Mayor of Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council, Councillor Howard Morgan. We will also be inviting members of the local Council, neighbours and the local community, including shops, businesses and we look forward to welcoming everyone to join us for light refreshments.
Named ‘Trevena Gardens’ after the late Mr Kit Trevena, former headmaster at the nearby St Mary’s School, we will be inviting his wife, Mrs Ethel Trevena, along with two pupils from the school to assist the mayor in the cutting of the ribbon. The late Mr Trevena founded the Welwyn Anglo-French Twinning Association in 1973 – an organisation which continues to thrive today.
Whilst excavating the site, a number of Roman remains were found, some of which we intend to donate to the school for their display.
We are members of the Considerate Constructors’ Scheme and pride ourselves on initiating and maintaining good relationships with the local community.
One of our purchasers, Mrs Chambers, stated that she and her husband had moved home several times over the years and builders had carried out
alterations and works to the houses - “but never had they been met with the kindness and consideration extended to them when visiting Netherdown’s School Lane development.”
Through the development of an extensive land portfolio and subsequent building projects, Netherdown is committed to the provision of new, prestigious, quality homes to the people of Hertfordshire.
We use local businesses whenever possible for the construction of our new homes. We have encouraged local artists to display their work (for sale) in our show house; we are delighted that Louisa-Ann Thomas and Erica Roch
www.ericaroch.co.uk will have their artwork on display.
