Love Food Hate Waste Roadshow is coming to Watford...(23rd May 2011)
The Love Food Hate Waste Roadshow is coming to Watford this Wednesday 25 May – giving out recipe cards and tips of how to save up to £50 a month by throwing away less food and as a result diverting unnecessary food waste from landfill.
The roadshow will stop in Charter Place Shopping Centre between 1 and 3pm and the Love Food Hate Waste team will be offering shoppers simple tips on cooking up tasty recipes from leftovers that will keep perfectly good food out of bins and into bellies plus advice on how to cook the perfect portion size.
Simple things like using up fruit and yoghurts to make delicious smoothies, cooking larger meals and freezing leftovers for a healthy ready-meal or using up bendy carrots and courgettes by grating them into a shepherds pie or spaghetti bolognaise are just some of the easy ways to start wasting less food.
The team will also be making an appearance in Tesco on Lower High Street, between 5 and 6pm, ASDA on the dome roundabout between 6pm and 7pm and then Woodside Leisure Park between 7pm and 8pm.
