Royal approval for the Hertfordshire County Show...(1st May 2012)
Grand Ring name changed to the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Arena.
The Hertfordshire County Show is both honoured and proud to announce the re-naming of their premier showcase Display Ring to the ‘Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Arena’.
The Hertfordshire Agricultural Society, organisers of the Hertfordshire County Show, are delighted to celebrate Her Majesty the Queen’s 60 year reign with a permanent tribute for current and future generations to see at Hertfordshire’s largest community event. The distinctive new Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Arena signs also incorporate 10 year old Katherine Dewar’s winning national competition design for the Jubilee emblem.
Mike Harman, the Show Secretary commented: ‘We are absolutely delighted to be granted Royal permission for the new Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Arena. It is fitting as this showcase Arena is the focal point of our annual Hertfordshire County Show, and includes a unique balance of Horse competitions, Farming displays and Military Bands, together with an eclectic range of spectacular International acclaimed Attractions.
We are looking forward to celebrating the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee and hosting the biggest ‘Red, White and Blue’ street party in Hertfordshire on Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd June. To support our street party theme, Show visitors are warmly invited to wear ‘Red, White and Blue’ over the weekend.’
