Rent your property to a teacher...(20th July 2012)
Have you got a property in Hertfordshire that you would like to rent out?
Registering the details at an online resource for teachers may be an easy way to find the right tenants.
Each September, Hertfordshire attracts around 600 newly qualified teachers and many of them will need short or medium term rented accommodation close to schools. Hertfordshire County Council's teaching recruitment website www.teachinherts.com is an ideal place to advertise your spare room or annex to rent, or even a whole house suitable for teachers to share.
Frances Button, Cabinet Member for Education and Skills, said: "We endeavour to attract the highest quality teaching and school staff to Hertfordshire to help us maintain our excellent educational standards. The Teach in Herts web site advertises all our teaching and support staff posts and many of the successful candidates will be moving to and around Hertfordshire to take up their roles. The accommodation section on the site is a fantastic additional service, putting landlords in touch with these professionals who are looking for property to rent."
To take advantage of this free service, select 'Landlord Registration' from the accommodation link on the front page of www.teachinherts.com and then post the details of your property. Once the post is authorised, it can be viewed by the teaching community.
Anyone considering renting out a property or room should first check their own rent, lease or mortgage agreement which may, in some cases, prohibit sub-letting or taking in lodgers. |
