Proceeds of fund raising concert presented to Herts Relate

Harpenden Lions Club held a charity fund raising classical music concert at Rothamsted earlier this year. As a result a cheque was presented to Relate Herts Central to support the work they do in providing relationship counselling to the local community.

John Bailey, Chair of Trustees, Relate Herts Central, attended a celebration barbecue at the Carpenters Arms with the Lions in Harpenden to accept the cheque for £400.

The concert was held in The Great Drawing Room, Rothamsted Manor, Harpenden. Three young musicians - clarinet, soprano and piano - entertained guests.

Next year's concert is already being planned; it will be on Saturday May 13th.
