New restaurant at The White Horse, Welwyn(9th November 2007)
The new restaurant at The White Horse, Welwyn – A Gourmet Country Pub.
Nestled among the cottages of Mill Lane, The White Horse is your quintessentially English Country Pub. The welcome and warmth exudes now as it did in the seventeeth century when it was a Coaching Inn. The White Horse is a home from home, where you can curl your toes by the fire, enjoy fine ale, and good conversation!
However, there is twist to this tale, this old Coaching Inn has a hidden secret – its food! To compliment the fine ales, beers, ciders, and wines are delectable dishes to warm the cockles on the coming wintry nights! Homemade soups, Devilled lambs’ Kidneys, Stuffed Field Mushrooms, Braised Pheasant, Fresh fish, and Pork Loin with Apple Glaze and Mustard Mash just to mention a few!
The Roof Goes Up!
To house these gourmet delights away from the bar, an extension is being constructed. The work began three weeks ago, and the roof is being erected as this goes to press. The new restaurant will be completed by the middle of November. We believe that it will be an extension of charm, warmth, and welcome, with the added enjoyment of being able to tuck into a very fine supper! Related categories Restaurants
