Marshalswick is a district of St Albans situated approximately 1.5 miles north-east of the city centre. Surrounding Marshalswick are the districts of Jersey Farm (north-east), Fleetville (south) and Bernards Heath (west).
Residents do not have to travel into the centre of town for local provisions. The Quadrant is a series of local shops including small supermarkets, off-license, estate agents and a video store. There are a number of pubs in and around Marshalswick.
