Old Knebworth is a small, attractive village, situated about a mile away from the more modern town of Knebworth. Old Knebworth is just south of Stevenage and borders the grounds of the historic Knebworth House, which is open to the public.

The village has a hugely popular pub, The Lytton Arms, named after the Lytton family who own Knebworth House. The pub is renowned for serving real ale and often has guest ales. It serves excellent food and has a beer festival each year.

Local attractions include the historic Knebworth House and Gardens that are open to the public. Stevenage provides modern sport and entertainment facilities.

Knebworth Park Cricket Club play on the edge of the village with spectators enjoying lovely views of Knebworth House and the village church of St Marys.
