South Oxhey is a residential town with a population of about 11,000. Surrounding South Oxhey are Watford (2 miles north), Bushey (2 miles north east), Pinner (2 miles south) and Northwood (2 miles south west).
The town has a small shopping area with shops, local amenities and estate agents. For a larger selection of shops you will need to travel to the surrounding towns.
The town has a number of pubs and there is a small selection of restaurants. A larger choice of entertainment can be found in Watford and other towns.
Separating South Oxhey and Northwood are Oxhey Woods. The woods are a nature reserve and offer pleasant walks.
Carpenders Park Train Station is situated in the town centre and a journey to London Euston takes approximately 30-40 minutes. The train station also has regular trains to Watford.
