Brookmans Park is an affluent village in central Hertfordshire. It is surrounded by countryside but has towns nearby including Potters Bar (2 miles south) and Hatfield (3 miles north).
It is well positioned for commuters with Brookmans Park Train Station running regular trains into London. The M25 and A1(M) motorways are also nearby.
There are local shops, amenities and estate agents in the centre of the village. There are more restaurants than usual for a village of its size and a further choice of restaurants can be gained in nearby towns. There are also plenty of golf courses in the surrounding countryside while the nearest golf course - Brookmans Park Golf Club - is situated along the northern edge of the village.
The Royal Veterinary College is based in the countryside just south west of Brookmans Park.
